トルコのパイオニア2というメーカーの、非常に肉厚でやぼったいキットです。お値段もキット内容も、二束三文といった感じです。このメーカーのキットは昔から廉価で店頭に並んでいたので有名ですね。90年ごろ当時では珍しく、ホルテンHo-229などドイツ試験機もいくつか製品化されています。
これの製品名はSu-21Gですが、鉄のカーテンの西側では、Su-15の発展型としてSu-21という機種があると誤認されていたところからきています。実際はこれはSu-15の後期型の複座練習機タイプ、Su-15UMです。
Su-15はソ連の防空軍（PVO）という、爆撃機迎撃のための防空専門部隊の使用機です。任務的には、コレの直接の後継機がMiG-25になります。
エアインテークが垂直な四角で、ダサダサな格好ですが、見かけによらず性能は良好だったようです。
Р-8（Р-98、西側名AA-3）ミサイルはフィンの肉厚が1mmくらいと、非常に厚くてスケール感を損なう仕様になっていますので、旧ICMのミサイルセットから拝借しました。（現行のセットと内容が違います。）これの発展型がMiG-25の主装備Р-40（AA-6）です。（←ちなみにPピーでなくキリル文字のРエルです。）
90年代終わり頃に購入・製作しましたが、2017年、エナメル黒をシャドー吹きして撮影しました。
2010年以降ではトランペッターから非常に出来の良いキットが1/72も1/48も初期型も後期型も発売されているので、少々高価ですがモデラーとしてはそちらを買うべきかと。
This is a Pioneer2's 1/72 kit. This kit is old and was sold since 1980s (Might 1970s?). Both the price and the details are very cheap. Pioneer2 also released 1/72 Ho229 first in the world. But it is no value to buy today.
This kit was named Su-21G, but it came from an uncorrect imfomation in the Cold War. At that time, Nato mistakenly recognized a developed type of Su-15 as Su-21. But in fact, this kit is Su-15UM, a late model of double-seat training type of Su-15.
Su-15 was an intercepter of Soviet PVO. MiG-25 is a successor to Su-15. Simple quadrate intakes are suggestive of mediocre ability, but Su-15 had very fine ability.
Fins of missiles of this kit are very thick, about 1.0mm! So I took four R-8 missiles from ICM's missiles set. (This missiles set was discontinued. It is not same as a missiles set now released.)
I bought and built this Su-15 in 1990s. I finished this kit in gloss clear. And in 2017 I airbrushed it with thinned flat black enamel paint at panel lines. But the enamel coating is easy to peel off.
After 2010, today, Trumpeter releases both Su-15, Su-15TM and training types. We should get them rather than poor Pioneer2's kit.
