ソビエト防空軍の戦闘機Su-15の初期型です。NATOではフラゴンと呼ばれています。
ノーズコーンが丸みのない円錐形、直線的な単純な円錐である点が最大の特徴です。
実は完全な新規設計の戦闘機ではなく、シルエットは似ていませんが、Su-11を双発にしたもの、という位置づけです。ということで、主翼がSu-11と同じにモノになっています。（全く同じモノではありませんが、基本設計的には同じという意味です。）
キットはトランぺッターの1/48ですが比較的初期の製品で、非常に作りづらいです。バリエーションキットの、練習機型や後期型Su-15TMとの部品共通化のため、機体のあちこちが別ブロックになっていて、プラの歪みなどで盛大に隙間ができます。しかも、機体長が40cmくらいあります。非常に取り回しづらいです。狭い部屋ではあちこちぶつけます。撮影の際の背景画像も、Ａ３を２枚貼り合わせたものを使っても、フレームにギリギリ入るかどうかというくらいでした。
大昔の、パイオニア２というメーカーの1/72キットでは、大型のR-98ミサイルを４発搭載していましたが、調べたところ、それは事実ではありえない装備でした。トランぺッターのキットのとおり、内側パイロンは小型の自衛用R-60ミサイルしか積めないというのが正しいです。
This is an early model of the Soviet Air Defense Force (PVO) fighter Su-15. In NATO, it is called Flagon.
The biggest feature is that the nose cone is a simple straight cone without swell.
Actually, Su-15 was developed as a twin-engine type of Su-11. So, Su-15's wing is the same as Su-11. (It does not mean just the same wing in details, but means the same in basic design.)
This kit is 1/48 Trumpeter's kit. But it is an early product of Trumpeter and very difficult to build.
In order to share parts with the late model Su-15TM or a training type, some blocks of the body are separated, and parts fitting is not good.
The model length is about 40cm. It is very difficult to manage it in a small Japanese house.
The background print for taking photo consists of two A3 prints.
Old 1/72 Pioneer2's Su-15 kit is including four large R-98 missiles, but it is impossible equipment.
It is true that the inner pylons can carry only small R-60 missiles, as this Trumpeter's kit.
