千数百円という安価なうえに武装が豊富で、昔からお買い得と評判のキットです。
モデルは試作型または先行量産型とされている機体で、生産型ではありません。しかも、試作型または先行量産型としてもおかしなところがあちこちに、、、とマニアの方はおっしゃっておりますが、まア、楽しく模型を作れればそれでいいじゃないかという、おおらかな気持ちで作りました。（＾＾）
生産型は機首と垂直尾翼上部の白いレーダー部分がMiG-29と同じグレーですが、スホーイ社の試作型または先行量産型とされている、最初にお目見えした機体はSu-27と同じく、このように白でした。説明書には両方の塗装例がありますが、個人的には白のほうが好みなので、白の機体を作りました。
３色迷彩は難しい色合いでしたので、３色とも自分の納得するまで、調合で作りました。いつもは「だいたいこんな色」という感じで妥協して、可能な限り調合はせずにビン生ですが、今回はどうしてもイメージに合う色がなかったものですから。
迷彩はエアブラシフリーハンド、デカール貼り後、クリヤーコートして一度テッカテカにした後スミイレ、最後に薄めたエナメル黒でエアブラシでシャドー入れしました。
なんにしろ面倒くさがり屋でアバウトなので、迷彩の際は型紙とかは使っていません。（＾＾;）
Su-34はSu-24の後継機ですが、これだけ武装を吊っているとSu-25の雰囲気にも見えますね。
Tamiya sold this Italeri's kit with a Japanese language instruction in Japan. It was very reasonal price.
This kit is a model of experiment or pre-production type, not mass production type. Moreover, if it is experiment or pre-production type, it has some mistaken details. But I don't mind. Feel free! Let's enjoy modelling!
Radar parts of the nose and tail wing tips of the mass production type are dark gray as same as MiG-29. But the first exposed Su-34 (experiment or pre-production type) had a white nose and white tail wing tips as same as Su-27. The instruction shows both gray and white versions. I prefer white and painted as the photo.
The tone of the Su-34's colour is difficult. This colour looks different colours in pictures. Therefore I painted the colour that I imagined as Su-34.
I airbrushed the colours by freehand.
I finished this kit in gloss clear. And I airbrushed it with thinned flat black enamel paint at panel lines. But the enamel coating is easy to peel off.
Su-34 which equipped with full armaments looks like a successor to Su-25.
