La-5は胴体後部を削り、涙滴型風防にしてLa-5Fになりましたが、さらにエンジンを換装してLa-5FNになりました。La-5FとLa-5FNではカウリングの形が違うので、識別は容易です。
ズベズダのキットです。排気管などのエンジン部品が細かくセットされていますが、精度が悪いので、外から見える部分以外は盛大にオミットして完成させました。
実機は木製なので、キットもパネルラインが少なくノッペリです。黒立ち上げのエアブラシ塗装ですと、ノッペリでも塗装に変化が出て良い感じになります。
1943年末ごろから、ソ連の戦闘機はドイツ同様、グレー迷彩になり、戦闘機の性能も、だんだんドイツ機と遜色ないものになっていきました。シルエットはモッサイですけどね。西欧のように全金属製でない、木製の戦闘機なので、シルエットがモッサイのはしようがないのです。アニメ世界とは違い、現実の世界は資源の確保や生産性が戦争の帰趨を決しますので、性能は良くても資材不足で数が作れなければ意味がないのデスね。
Top of the back of the canopy of La-5 was cut and became La-5F. Later the engine was replaced and La-5F became La-5FN. We can distinguish them easily because the cowls are different.
This is a Zvezda's kit. Exhaust pipes and other engine parts are separated finely, but it was difficult to build, so I omitted tiny parts except for the parts that can be seen from the outside.
Many parts of La-5FN was made of wood. So the kit has few panel lines and the surface of this kit is simpl like as the real plane.
I airbrushed this model in flat black first, and put light blue, medium gray and dark gray on the model carefully by a 0.2mm airbrush.
From around the end of 1943, Soviet fighters became in gray camouflage, like as German fighters. And Soviet air force gradually began to overwhelm German fighters. But the shapes of Soviet fighters are not cool, because they are wooden, different from metal fighters of Western Europe.
Unlike an anime world, in the real world, war depends on the national industorial power. So even if a nation has a good cool fighter, but if the nation doesn't have enough material and cannot product a lot of fighters, the good cool fighter is pointless.
