「全弾発射！」は男のロマン！！！（＾＾）
ICMの年季の入った製品ですが、ようやく2018年に買いました。驚いたのは、まるで簡易インジェクションかと思うようなキットのディテールと金型劣化具合だったことです。
以前、CONDORというよく分からない東欧メーカーから出ていたものも作りましたが、あちらのほうが作りやすかった感じです。が、どちらも一長一短、いや、一長二短といった感じのキットです。70年代のハセガワのも、もちろん作りましたが、凸モールドでディテールもアレなので、、、MiG-25はまともな1/72キットには恵まれない運命なのでしょうか。
ハセガワのはMiG-25という、冷戦時代特有のアヤシイ商品名になっていますが、キットはMiG-25Pです。
先述のCONDORの製品はバリエーション展開されており、MiG-25PDとして売っていたものを買いましたが、中身はなんとMiG-25Pの機首下部にMiG-25PD特有のセンサー部品ひとつを足しただけの、トンデモ仕様でした。MiG-25PとMiG-25PDは、機首側面のパネルラインが全く違うので、部品を足せば済む問題ではありません。
ICMのキットは、ちゃんとMiG-25PDのパネルラインになっています。
MiG-25PDは、ベレンコ中尉事件でMiG-25Pのレーダーシステムが暴露されてしまったために、レーダー装備を別のモノに一新した型ですが、単に機体内部のレーダー部品を変えれば済むと言うレベルではなく、システム一式を変えたので、機首のパネルラインが一新されています。一番の外観的特徴は、機首下面に装備されたセンサーですね。

This is an ICM's old kit. I always wanted to get it, finally I got in 2018. But I was surprised at many burrys and dull details.
Long time ago I built a Condor's kit, it might have been easy to build than this ICM's kit. But each of them has both good point and bad point. Not, each of them has both a little good point and many bad point...
I live in Japan, of course I built a Hasegawa's kit, but it has convex molds and many mistake in details. Today, there is no excellent 1/72 kit of MiG-25.
The Condor's kit is named "MiG-25PD", but this kit is not correct. It is a poor kit that a radar part under the nose was added with MiG-25P kit. In fact, nose panel lines of MiG-25PD are not same as MiG-25P. Nose panel lines of ICM's MiG-25PD kit is correct.
The MiG-25PD is a model that renewed the whole nose radar because the radar system of MiG-25P was exposed in the Belenko Incident at Hakodate in Japan.
So Soviet had to replace not only a part of radar but also the whole radar system. Therefore nose panel lines of MiG-25PD are not same as MiG-25P. Of course, an additional radar under the nose is the most striking difference.
