ラヴォーチキン、ゴルブーノフ、グドコフの共同開発のため、LaGGと呼称されます。
試作のみのLaGG-1を小改良してLaGG-3となり、1941年の開戦から登場していますが、主に1942年から使われました。
独ソ戦の苦しい時期の主力機だったため、残念ながらパッとしない印象で知られていますが、後の傑作機、La-5やLa-7へと続くポテンシャルの高さを内に秘めていた機体と言うことができるかもしれません。
ICMのこの頃（2000年代後半）の製品は、モールドは結構いい感じなんですが、大きな部品の合わせに難があり、隙間や歪みに苦しめられます。なんとか完成させたという感じです。
マーキングは第145戦闘機連隊のL.A.ガリチェンコのものです。（時期により多少マーキングに違いがあります。）
LaGG was named from three men names Lavochkin, Gorbunov and Gudkov.
LaGG-3 is a modified model of LaGG-1 (prototype only), and it was used from 1941. But it was mainly used from 1942.
It was unfortunately known as a poor fighter because it was used in the hard time for USSR in 1941-1942.
But LaGG-3 had a high potential, because it developed into the excellent La-5 and La-7.
ICM products around this time (around 2000-2010) have finely good molds, but are not good fitting.
A pilot is not included in this kit.
The marking is of L.A. Garichenko of the 145th Fighter aviation regiment (IAP). (Some differences in marking can be seen depending on the season.)
