シーファイアはスピットファイアの海軍版ですが、これは二重反転プロペラのついた、シーファイアの最終型です。
キットの出来は2000年前後のエアフィックスの標準的な出来です。ただ、キャノピー（動くほう）の左側がショート（注型不良）しており、外枠部分はエポパテで補修しましたがガラス部分はどうにもならず、そのままです。エアフィックスは品質管理が悪く、よく注型不良を掴まされます。
キットは翼の折り畳みもできますが、飛行状態に組んだのでもちろん展開状態固定にしました。
胴体後部の帯、白がスケスケです。orz いつもこういう部分は塗装にしているんですが、今回は文字が被り、その部分は地色なので、位置合わせが面倒くさそうでデカールを使ったんですが。。。
ワイバーンもそうですが、戦後のイギリス機はロケット弾の数が多くて製作・塗装が面倒くさいです。しかし完成すると壮観ですね。
Seafire is a navy variant of Spitfire. This is the final version of Seafire with a contra-rotating propeller.
The details and parts fitting are very good.
But there was a short shot in the canopy! I fixed the canopy frame with a putty, but could't fix a little area of the glass because it is clear. Quality control of Airfix is bad, and I often got short shots in Airfix's model.
This kit can be built in folding wing mode.
The decal of a B/W band at the tail is seen through...
I should paint it without the decal. I thought it is very hard to match a band and "Royal Navy VP46"...
British fighters in the post war have a lot of rockets. It is difficult to build and paint many rockets. But it is very cool!
