タミヤの箱に入ったイタレリの1/48ハリケーンMk.Iです。
イタレリ標準の、結構な隙間や歪み、微妙にダルいモールド、柔らかいプラ、という内容で、組み立てには少し苦労しました。大きな隙間はプラバンの切れ端、細い隙間は紙切れを瞬着で付けて塞いでいます。
このキット、本当は付属のタミヤ製1/48人形が欲しかったので買ったのです。ハリケーン本体はどうでもよかったのデス。しかし、ICMの精巧なフィギュアを見てしまってからでは、タミヤ製はモールドがダルくて出来がキツイですね。
塗装は黒立ち上げで、迷彩はMr.カラー24スカイ、22ダークアースです。グリーンは通常は23ダークグリーンを使っていますが、今回は黒立ち上げにしたところ、22ダークアースと23ダークグリーンの明度差があまりなく、迷彩がよく分からなくなってしまったため、かわりにMr.カラー123のRLM83を使いました。スピナーと帯はMr.カラー26アヒル卵色です。
国籍マークとフィンフラッシュは塗装です。国籍マークは、４回も同心円を切り出してマスキングして塗装するのは、結構手間がかかりますね。しかも間違えて、胴体国籍マークは、左右対称の位置につけてしまったので、右側面コードレターが少し窮屈です。イギリス機の国籍マークは、コードレターの分、左右で位置が非対称ということを忘れていました。（＾＾;）
パイロットは撮影用半身像の使いまわしです。大きな声では言えませんが、白いマフラーの日本人です。（＾＾;）
写真の機体は説明書には1940年12月のマクナイト中尉機とありますので、バトルオブブリテンの後ですね。この直後に、戦死してしまいました、残念です。
This is an Italeri's kit in Tamiya's box.
It was a bit difficult to assemble because some gaps and distortions, kind of dull molds, and kind of soft plastic. I filled the large gaps with plastic pieces and narrow gaps with pieces of paper at first by instant glue.
I bought this kit because I wanted figures of this kit (Tamiya version only). Three figures are included in this Tamiya's version. Two of the three figures are in the picture of later "1/48 Airfix Blenheim". However, after seeing the elaborate ICM's figures, Tamiya's figures are dull and hard to be seen.
I airbrushed this model in flat black first, and put Mr. color #24 Sky, #22 Earth and RLM83 Green on the model carefully by a 0.2mm airbrush. A spinner and a band at the tail are in #26 Duck egg green.
National marks and fin flashes were painted by me. Letters are decals.
I painted national marks at the right and left hull in a symmetrical position. This is mistake. The national marks on the right/left hull are not in a symmetrical position in British fighters because of the position of letters.
The pilot is from another kit. To tell the truth, it is Japanese pilot for another Japanese fighter. A white scarf of feature of Japaese pilot is outstanding...
This plane is of lieutenant Wille Mcknight December 1940. After one month, 12th Jan. 1941, he was killed. Very sad.
