This is a big mistake of THE old great researcher. Moreover, it is more deadful that many books and many manufactures like Tamiya and other manufactures believe it.
A famous author also sais, "I don't know why Червонец (a 10 ruble bill) was wrote."
Huh? Well, obviously, the number of characters is strange. You can see 9 characters, can't you?
In 2010's, it is known that this is Червонный.
It is just funney who makes this mistake. It is very obvious that the number of characters is short.
Червонный means deep red. It is cool name, isn't it?
This Червонный decal is released from a third party, but it has a little problem. Because Червонный isn't for the №183 tank, but is for №112 tank.
This Червонный tank belongs to the 4th Guard Tank Brigade that participated in the operation Bagration. And it is said to be the tank of a Hero of the USSR guards lieutenant Florikov.
The Bagration operation is from spring to summer in 1944, so this tank might be suitable for the №183 early models.
In addition, the 4th Guard Tank Brigade was basically equipped with tanks of №183 factory. (As for T-34-85, each brigade was equipped with tanks of one factory.)
But in a rare case, other factory's T-34-85 may be mixed. This Червонный tank is in this case.
The evidence is a 3-digit lot number molded on the side of the turret. This is an exclusive feature of the №112 factory turret. None of the №183 turrets have lot numbers here. All №183 turrets have lot numbers on the rear. There is no exception.
