Elisena社の54㎜メタルキットですが、2000年前ごろに活動していたメーカーなので、実はElisenaの製品だったか、記憶が定かではありません。商品名も、たしか「 Russian Knight」だった気がしますという程度です。（＾＾;） 買ったのもそのころです。
１３～１５世紀のルーシの騎兵です。ルーシというのは今のロシア、ウクライナ、ベラルーシが分かれる前の原民族です。具体的には、ノブゴロド王国やモスクワ大公国の騎兵です。
フィギュアも、組み立てて塗るだけなら良いんですが、盾や毛布などの文様が面倒くさくて、結局20年ほど作りかけで放置していました。やっと2016年に完成しました。
文様は旗のイコンも含め、すべてアルプスプリンタでの自作デカールですが、ルーシっぽい文様を調べたり、探したり、自分で描いたり、かなり大変な作業でした。文様にも時代や民族性がありますからね。
旗は極薄のアルミ板で作ってあります。ホルベインのメディウム塗装後にデカールの糊が溶け出して、部分的に樹脂がパリパリに浮いてしまっています。
手綱は少し厚めの紙でいつも作っています。
ルーシはヨーロッパよりも、ビザンチンとモンゴルを合わせたような、独特な装備なので面白いです。なんたって、騎馬民族同様、弓を持っていますからね。

But I don't remember very much, because it is 20 years ago.
This is a Rus cavalry from 13th to 15th centuries. Rus is a people group before Russia, Ukraine and Belarus formed. Specifically, this is a cavalry in the Kingdom of Novgorod or the Grand Duchy of Moscow.
Patterns such as shields and blankets suffered me, so I neglected this figure for about 20 years. Finally completed in 2016.
All of the patterns, including the flag Icon, are my own decals, but it was quite a difficult task to search for Rus style patterns and draw them on PC by myself.
The flag is made of a thin aluminum plate. After the Holbein's medium was painted, the decal glue had melted out and the medium is partially floating in the crisp.
I usually make reins from a little thick paper.
Rus is more interesting than Western Europe nations because it has unique equipments that combines Byzantine and Mongolia. Especially, like the nations of Central Asia, they have a bow.
