イタリアのメーカー、ペガソモデルズの90mmメタルキットです。2000年前後の製品だったと思います。皇帝フリードリヒ２世と同じく、欲しいと思っていたところ、結婚や子育ての予定が遠のいて行ったため、資金的に余裕ができ、2002年頃フリードリヒ２世と同時に買ったものです。（結局結婚はできないままでありマス。（＾＾;）） 長い放置の末、2016年にようやく完成となりました。
製作で一番悩んだのは瞳です。メーカー作例は私の作品と同じ、視線が下です。しかし上目線にしたほうがもっとカッコいいんじゃないかと１か月ほどさんざん悩んだあげく、メーカー作例どおりの下視線にしました。
もう一つ買って、服の色も青や赤などに変えて上目づかいに、、、は無理です。１個１万円もするキットですから。（＾＾;）
盾の模様は自作デカールですが、余白の透明部分が少し目立ってしまいました。中央金属部分（ボス）と外周の金属リムのみが造形されており、文様部分はのっぺらぼうなので、自分ですべてを描き入れる必要があります。
ローマのこの大型の盾（スクトゥム）は、形は同じでも絵柄にバリエーションがあります。パソコンでの自作デカールなので、一つ絵柄を作れば大小どんなフィギュアにも対応できますが、それではワンパターンになってつまらないため、数種類のバリエーションを作っています。
台座地面は手の込んだものがついていますが、メタル製で重いので使わず、私はいつもエポパテで適当な地面を作っています。こういうメタルフィギュアが１０個くらいならいいんですが、大小100個くらいあるので、できるだけ軽量化しておかないと保管にも困るからです。

The pattern of the shield is my original decal, but the clear film part stand out a little. About this shield, only the centre metal part (boss) and the outer metal rim are molded, but the pattern part is plain, so we need to draw the pattern by ourselves.
This large shield (Scutum) is very interesting because there are many patterns even if the shapes of the shields are all same.

The base comes with a excellent metal one, but I usually remake it with putty to reduce the weight.
It would be no problem if there were only 10 or 20 metal figures. But I have over 100 metal figures, so it would be difficult to store them in a small Japanese house from a point of view of weight.
